What did you buy your 993 this week ?

Nick, Meguiars NXT Metal Polish is good for polishing bare unlacquered rims, more of a milder version of Autosol, however it doesn't offer the prolonged protection of a CG Wheel Guard IMO... and I've tried many on my polished Speedlines. :thumb:

But the Design 911 ones at £99 dont have lights?

https://www.design911.co.uk/fu/prod1481/Front-Air-Ducts-RS-Porsche-993/

:dont know:

I was quite happy with those, but the Type 911 ones with the lights look good.

Will give those a go.

B

type 911 ducts painted and fitted, they look great.
The rust has also been seen to with the added bonus that the garage fitted the new front and rear lights as well as the head lamp lenes.

Will post a pic as soon as I figure out how too.

Next stop air con...

Local Garage told me I could have some Ramp Time last night, so scooted down to a Tyre Fitter [old Brighton Business that has been around for 30+ years, the Father owner of which has a Porsche Previous History], slotted some PS4 [235F, 275R] on and then headed to the Garage..

No Spacers, and a Perfect Fit.. 8)

Didn't get a chance to test them out as the Night drew in and the Rain started, but hopefully will get out soon, hoping for an Early Morning blat.. :cop:

Got the King of Porsche book from Amazon new for £75.

Ninja level nerding potential!

The sun was shining and I had the day off so fitted new belts(fronts genuine and rears re-webbed although very hard to tell the difference - even side by side.

And believe it or not something broke...a window switch so that was a nice 2 minute repair.

Hadn`t done anything on the 993 for a very long time so was nice to be pottering again. :)

A complete Targa roof

I just bought a complete, second hard Targa roof !

I have posted before about this but I took the risk of buying my Targa with a Targa roof sealed in with silicon and all the sun shade missing.

I since removed the glass, replaced all the seals and cables and refitted it all but then the car went into storage before I could get it all back up and running.

I've always kept on the lookout for spares and sun shade and came across this on ebay and purchased it and its now tucked safely away waiting for me to strip it, fit the sun shade to my car and keep the rest as spares

I couldn't actually believe it when I saw it on ebay!

Nice find..!!

All calipers removed, stripped down and refurbed in black with white lettering. Some new brake pipes, backing plates. New n/s temp mixer flap motor replaced. At JAZ.

Bought a new compressor from the US ebay outfit.

Existing one is working fine but planning a project to freshen up the engine bay...OCD at its finest

It not as shinny as I was expecting..... :frustrated:

Assume they are all like this :dont know:
