Hi Phil
Re PSE vs Top Gear:
Switched off (if you have not seen it, the exhaust is switched off (quiet) or on (Loud or sport) with a dashboard switch), the TG is similar in sound to stock or PSE off.
Switched on, the TG is slightly louder, and raspier/rawer sound than PSE. All the additional noise comes above 3,000 rpm, so driving in "on mode" is not anti social/embarrassing! It is just great when you accelerate hard up to the red line.
Ultimately, I would agree that PSE sound slightly better, but for me was not worth the £3-£4k premium.
I would have either in preference to non switchable.
Re the red interior, I am always amazed that it causes such negative reaction. It is a nicer colour in the flesh, so I would recommend going to see it (or one like it), Once you have body coloured seatbacks/central console, grey over mats, and artic pack it does break up the colour.
Everyone who rode in/drove my car loved the colour. I see the same negative comments about the Tan leather, and again would far rather have that than black.
