Hello all.

I am thinking of moving onto a 991.1 GTS and was hoping to get the collective feeling from the congregation as to what my humble old GTS may be worth both as a Private Sale and trading in against a vehicle at approx £80K.

She is a 2011 GTS, PDK and 2WD with 30K on the clock. She has ceramics, Ackrapovic, sunroof, cruise and all the usual bells and whistles except heated / electric seats. She has the full / extended Sand leather interior as opposed to the usual one.

Full service history (only Porsche up until warranty expired and Specialist thereafter), every document from new, she is in excellent condition and wants for nothing.

I have had her for just over 5 years and have done 7k miles in her during that time. She is used for the (occasional) dry run around the Scottish Highlands and is not used for commuting as I work abroad for over half the year.

Thoughts on price.....?

Thanks in advance,

Colin.

Lowish mileage, PCCB and extras help but sand interior and (possibly) the sunroof may not.

In the current market even the previously well revered GTS seems to have fallen in value too.

My guess would be £53k as a part-ex or start advertising privately at £56k.

having been in the market recently for a GTS (although decided against this model in the end), I could have got a GTS with similar miles with some tasty extra's like aerokit etc for around the £50k mark. So I would expect something along those lines.

Although I would say when I was looking, the sand or light brown colour interiors with the dash the same colour didn't do it for me. Not sure if this would impact resale price mind you as I am sure many prefer it.

I reckon £50k....the interior is one that people will love or hate and a lot of people want alcantara on the GTS.

Things holding value back for you will be the interior, the aftermarket exhaust and the service history. Although the mileage is relatively low and ceramics, I'd say £50ish is not an unreasonable number to work with.
What numbers have been discussed with you out and about in the market?

I'd say ceramics are worth nothing in terms of of value....and will actually put some buyers off as thet're an unknown and an expensive liability.

I have been offered low 50's so far for trade-in against a few cars which are circa £80k. I think I will wait and sell her privately after I get a Porsche 111 point check done.

Thanks for all the replies so far folks.

Colin.

I think you might net more by selling via a dealer like JZM or RPM on SoR. Obviously not without risk but both have excellent reputations.

Do you think a gen1 991 gts is worth £30k on top of your car ?

Very valid question and that is the issue I have been wrestling with for most of this year. I would hope to get mid 50's, so hopefully a figure of sub £25k to change. I am not committed at this time and shall certainly be looking at things from all sides prior to parting with the old girl.
