This is left over from me modifying a cheap Chinese short shift that I bought from ebay.

I have removed the rubbish roller bearing and replaced it with a tight fitting bronze bearing. This significantly tightens ups the gear shift. Its been operating in my gar for the last 5,000 miles and still as good as when I put it in.
