What did you buy your 997 this week?

A couple of Michelin PS2's for the front.

Manufacturing date was 2717 so nearly 2 years old before purchase which was a bit surprising, had assumed Michelin would make batches more often and tyres would be fresher.

Also surprised at how relatively light the wheel/tyre combo was compared to the 18" wheels on the daily driver.

splitter

So managed to pick up a factory fresh front aero splitter for the turbo :dancetwist: very happy boy just need to find a set of GTS side skirts before it goes to the painters

SGH your car is looking cracking by the way

Minor service, MOT and new headlight leveller rod as the coupling had cracked.

New fuel filter, plugs and gapped+ water pump and coils, intake pipes air to turbo, upgraded Y pipe and new D088 IC's, new Sachs uprated pressure plate and cover + release bearing. New oil coolers and every pipe on top and near the oil coolers. New alignment and front water pipe drivers side, new water expansion tank. Engine cleaned and nearly ready to put back. Lastly uprated brake lines+ motul bf, new fluids all round inc diff, gearbox, belt. Front crank
pulley shot blasted and laquered.

Been a slightly busy one...

- The £120 Mr12Volt bluetooth kit from eBay (works great, faff to fit initially as I have both phone and CD changer)
- Tools to fit above (socket set etc.)
- Magnetic phone holder
- Zunsport grills in black (just sides) [not yet fitted]
- Basalt Black touch up paint [not yet used]

Just had full PPI plus all radiator hoses replaced

Need to address all the stone chips at some point... (there are loads!)

Been a couple of weeks but since getting a 'drivers spec' C2S;
Red seat belt webbing.
LED interior light bulbs.
Full paint restoration and detail, massive improvement.
Removed rear Carrera S badge. But found paint scratched underneath so it had to go back on, painted it Matt Black first though.
New C2 number plates.

OPC Portsmouth- major service, spark plugs and brake fluid change.

Precision - actuator rod replacement near side (spotted by DeMort during an earlier meet/check :thumb: ), couple of loose trim bits and an underbody wax treatment.

Couple of pics that the Precision guys took whilst the car was with them. Thought I'd post them as a different angle usually hidden by the undertray.

A new clutch. A large circlip failed in the clutch plate cover. Thankfully no damage to the flywheel according to OPC which dramatically reduced the cost of replacement.
Looking at the plate it was only at half life which confirms my theory of rev matching every year change as a good long term strategy for minimising wear.
Excellent service by OPC Wilmslow too :thumb:

Some shiny shiny polishing and ceramic coating. Again.
