First off, i know a few people on 911uk are not fond of ES Motor for what ever reasons you may have, but this is my unbiased review of my experience with them after tuning my car with different tuners over the years.

Some of you may have seen my partial build thread linked below.

http://www.911uk.com/viewtopic.php?t=127265&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

I have had my 997tt for years and the original owner had installed a Cargraphic exhaust, BMC filter, agency power diverter valves along with an unknown tune.

The car was great but the want for more power came after the first few months. I had Dyno'd the car and it was only putting down about 400 to the wheels, which is less than stock.

I reached out to multiple tuners all over the world including ES Motor and decided to go with Todd at Protomotive in the USA. They had a contact in Dubai to log my car, tune and dyno. This was all new to me at the time so it was very helpful.

After installing DO88 intakes, Aquamist and tracking down a small boost leak it put down about 560whp (I know dyno's have many variables and this was just to see the before and after) and the car ran great. I did not have a VBox at the time.

I got used to the power pretty fast and wanted more, i decided to piece together an equivalent to the AMS Alpha 9 package which at the time was a great performing kit.

The basics consisted of 3071's, larger injectors and AMS intercoolers. I got the parts from Sam at Bydesign and the injectors and line kit from Todd. Todd was amazing and helped me with the install over email. It was tuned again and VBoxed at 5.6 100-200kph and 5.1 100-200kph on MS109 race gas.

After shipping the car to the UK, i bought a Syvecs S6+ (I wanted rolling anti-lag lol), i also managed to get an unused ES motor built transmission (mine had started to slip), i upgraded the TCU and installed some FVD straight pipes at the same time.

I had the car tuned by Ryan from Syvecs and the car completely changed, i was doing 100-200kph on pump gas and meth in 4.8 seconds. Extremely fast, and the rolling anti lag always put a grin on my face!

Fast forward to the beginning of this year and again, i wanted more power. An engine build... I shopped around a little in the UK and abroad, my main concerns were finding a specialist with a good track record that were not going to charge me a million hours labour for everything (i'm used to doing the work myself). I also wanted who ever would be building the car to tune it too so that there would be no finger pointing in the event of any issues.

I ended up at ES Motor.

I felt slightly intimidated on my way to initially meet with them due to all the records they hold and only wanting a budget engine build, but after the initial hello, all of that worry was gone. I could not have met a more humble or genuine team.

The guys there were extremely informative and not pushy at all. After a lot of discussion they actually managed to talk me out of doing an engine build now, they recommended that i try their updated ES850 package first. The new set up would be transferable and suitable for a built engine if i had wanted one later and i was assured of noticeable gains.

Pricing was unexpectedly unbelievable and it didn't make any sense to lift a single tool myself. I gave them the green light.

Firstly, they insisted on doing a compression and leak down test to check the engines health before carrying out any work. This really inspired confidence and professionalism.

The next day my engine was out, they found an oil leak at the top of the engine which i decided to fix and while the engine was out i also decided to weld my coolant fittings, change my water pump and all the degradable components to ensure trouble free driving for the foreseeable future.

My engine block and engine bay were thoroughly cleaned, the block looked like it had just left the factory.

They switched out all my vacuum, coolant and oil lines to braided ones with custom fittings and the attention to detail was as if the car was their own.

There was a slight delay in the manufacturing of my new shiny headers, but after they arrived it was full steam ahead.

We talked turbo's and i ended up going with their recommendation for my needs, G25 series Garrett V-Band turbos and also a new custom fabricated exhaust and the engine looked amazing.

They also fabricated a custom methanol tank installed in the boot, there were multiple finishing options and i decided to have it carpeted and it looks OEM. I have been searching for a decent tank that doesn't look ricer or cheap for years!

After the work was completed, they kept the car for a further two weeks to tune, log and make sure everything was perfect. I was consulted and informed every step of the way. I had given them details of all the maps i had wanted and the uses for them, they were all taken on board and implemented, all 7 of them including a crazy two step lol.

They noticed i was missing sandwich plates on my roll bar which was unsafe, they had some fabricated and fitted at no charge along with a custom carbon switch plate to match my interior for the Syvecs Cal switches. I also had them install all the replacement carbon interior parts and swap in a 991.2 steering wheel and code it all up.

So, i've now had the car at home for a while and the results are amazing. Drivability has improved with literally zero lag. The maps i requested are all there and insane.

The car now does a repeatable 100-200kph in 4.4 seconds on a full tank of pump + meth, i should be able to easily improve by .1-.2 of a second in the right conditions.

As soon as i have had some fun with the car, i will drop it back to have it tuned for Octanium and also race gas and will post more results.

Overall i am extremely impressed with the package and i am a very happy customer!

I have absolutely zero concerns about any future support should i ever need it. Communication has been spot on, they have always answered my calls and replied to messages even at night! I have also received pictures of pretty much everything done along the way.

I would strongly suggest anyone contemplating modification, fabrication or tuning however big or small to give these guys a chance to win your business.

Thanks for taking the time to read!

I too would recomend "ES Motors" Emre (tuning wizard) Amir, Iby and Steve after my previous 997 TT was given the 650 treatment. They truly know their stuff and have proven this over and over....
