Hope no one has bought this as mentioned above. Someone has a huge bill coming his way :dont know:

Oh I hope someone hasn't brought it , what a horrible start to Porsche ownership especially if they come on here and read this thread.

My thoughts exactly Phil! It's bad enough discovering you have an issue through your own instructed inspections, but to find out by surprise after browsing a forum would be a right Old bitch!😕

They have most likely decided to block it as they know it will be a boomerang
It's unlikely they sold it that quick for that price and there's no way it went up in value by over £2k since Chivs bought it - bunch of muppets :thumb:

They're no worse off as what you are all forgetting is what it originally stood them in for.
Could have been £20k or less.
They may well only be suffering a loss of profit.
Just putting it out there...

...I get so frustrated with the used car trade and the contemptuous manner in which they treat buyers when problems arise that I have emailed the managing director this morning...I know that it didn't impact me but when I visited their shiny site and read this person's story I couldn't sit by and not do anything as others will be bitten and the hypocrisy winds me up!

My email:

Morning,

...the story of this car (#I copied the image) and how badly it appears that you treated the previous owner is plastered all over the Porsche 911uk forum;read by thousands and supported by a large number and range of motor traders.

The only reason that I am wasting my time contacting you is to share my belief that it certainly looks like the shiny showroom and glossy images you portray vis a vis your team and standards your response to issues from buyers is no better than any back street used car sellers...

However, if you believe in karma then the terrible publicity that this episode has generated won't do your reputation or business any good at all...

Words mean nothing Roger, actions speak louder....

Bchivs, did you get all of your cash back and what did you end up with?
BB4s :?:

Interestingly, it currently shows as untaxed and MOT expired on the gov website

The car has been regularly exercised, enjoyed and well looked after by its previous owners and comes with all important full service history with marque specialists. Finished in Polar Silver metallic with black leather interior, this 6-speed manual transmission has only covered 60,708 miles from new, complete with current MoT and V5C document.

I have just been pass the Dealer this morning- live just 4 miles down the road.

Might pop in and have a look/discussion with the owners to see what work they have done on the car.

Judging by the mileage absolutely sweet FA...

Regularly exercised?? think someone is telling porkies...

checked the MOT history of the car and I can see that brake pipes corrosion, brake discs pitted/worn/scored and suspension arm ball joints were all mentioned as either repair immediately or monitor as on the way out.

Did these not show up as checks when you were looking to buy the car?

Any dealer that feels the need to include the words "complete with current MOT and V5C document" in an advert would always cause me some concern. :D
