Hello all,

Well I've owned my 996 turbo for a couple of years and think it might be time to let someone else enjoy the performance but I could do with some value advice.

The car has a full, all but one, main dealer history with about 15 stamps and no expense spared, the last service was done by Brookspeed and it was a major with plugs, coil packs and suspension top mounts.

She is seal grey complete with aero kit and black leather.

Wheels refurbished by The Wheel Specialist last year and a set of new Michelin's.

I have upgraded the head unit to a full fat Pioneer Avic and I have the original head unit in storage, all fully reversible.

I also have an unfitted flappy paddle steering wheel that is converted but never fitted

Mileage is a shade under 34k and it is a very, very good example, I'd actually welcome a PPI.

So what do you ladies and gentleman think I should ask for it?

I just had a look on Autotrader and values for low mileage cars like yours range from mid 30's to nearly £80k! I think the high price ones are unrealistic.

Your car sounds like a very good example. I'd be looking at high thirties but be prepared for daft offers - it's a buyers market currently. An advert on here would be a sensible option, and you won't get the time wasters that you get elsewhere.

Ring a few specialists and ask thise who actually sell cars. They will give you a ball park figure subject to an inspection. Tom at v911 is a good start. Another might be RSJ . They cangive you a good guide to the market today.
Be prepared fir knock downs though - our cars are usually valued lower than what we owners value them.

Many thanks for the comments.

I would put an add on the forum website if I go ahead and put the beastie up for sale.

To be honest I would be looking for about 44k as that is what I paid a couple of years, the servicing and spares are just running costs and just needed done. I do understand that its a buyer market at this time though.

Everything about your car sounds great but if you're keen to sell in the current market I think your asking price should probably start with a 3 for a private sale.

Good Luck though. :thumb:

Counter of beans (great handle) Cheshire911 & T8 your comments and feedback are taken on board with thanks

TBH, I'm certainly not in a desperate rush to sell and the market does seem flat at this time so I may just hang on for a while.

Anyway, thanks again all.
