I have an old Garmin Zumo 550 that snugly fits in the corner next to the driver A pillar, suction pad on the windscreen. However its newer replacement is a fair bit wider so it'll have to go elsewhere on the dashboard, probably in the middle somewhere.

What do people recommend, other than the permanent adhesive disc?
 
I've used a garmin vent mount on my Skoda - not tried it on the Porsche. I Just stick it on the windscreen.

FIL used to put the sucker onto his radio display in his Audi A5 till he cracked the LCD screen :-0

I got a mate to 3D print a holder which has a flat face on top and fits inside the cup holder.
Works well and is in just the right position.
