My 2008 model Cayenne has gone into OPC for 111-point inspection prior to getting a new 2-year warranty. Apparently, steering column is only adjusting forwards and backwards, not up and down, so needs further investigation. It makes a noise, as if trying to engage motor, but steering column doesn't move. Wouldn't be much of an issue for me, but will need fixing before can get a Porsche warranty. Anyone had anything similar? Any suggestions as to what might be the underlying issue? DeMort, I'm hoping you might have an idea given your experience and expertise with these cars and your love of problem solving!
