Hi All

Delighted that these have arrived. Ultra light, strong and I am confident will look well.

Does anyone have a engine bay fan loom they would sell me for my Ducktail?

I will swap an engine bay fan loom for your ducktail :dont know:

The ducktail looks great. Where did you get them from?

When i fitted my ducktail i just stripped the original loom of the wires not needed, looks OEM

Thanks all, it's from Custom Concepts in Holland. Carbon won't chip its far stronger than the original.

i cant help with the loom
but saw Ducktail in the thread title and had to look

i've had RPM's ducktail in my shopping basket waiting to pull the trigger for a long time
i cant quite make it out in your picture does this carbon customs one have the cut out for the 3rd brake light?

and be sure to update us with pics when you have them fitted :thumb: 8)

Blanc, I am sure you could easily pick up a wiring loom from one of the specialist Porsche breakers. the carbon ducktail looks great quality :thumb: not sure about the 996 but on the 997 there are several different fans one has a 3 screw fixing with an engine bay light built in and the other a 4 screw fixing with no engine bay light attached, check to see which fan you need :thumb:

Just looked at the quote I received from RPM in October 2017 - the wiring loom for the 997 was priced at £102.36+VAT and I can't imagine it's changed much since then or is much different to the 996 version.

It's a fairly simple loom though, so shouldn't be too tricky to eliminate the elements not required. Then you just need to code out the spoiler to a fixed aero unit.

Glad they arrived safely, looking forward to seeing them fitted :thumb:

do you mind me asking how much you paid? looks fantastic.

I'm assuming that for a has a cut out for the 3rd rear light and will probably be the 997 light.

If so, you'll need the 997 light and loom but the female connectors are different that plugs into the car system.

Of which I have 2 plugs spare.

Drop me a pm if your interested in them but I'm travelling at the moment and back in country on tuesday
