GT3 Front bumper fitting to a C2

I'd realised that. My point was that an aero bumper would be easier got than a gt3

I'd always thought that would be a single part - didn't know that there was one with third rad cut-out and one without, I suppose it makes sense.

I can't see why you'd not get the aero-bumper if it was usefully cheaper.

It's a valid point re the aero kit bumper rather than GT3. I'd not considered that.

Having a quick look at the usual places there's non for sale other than the GT3. I'll get in touch with OPC and see if it's avilable through them and if it's cheaper.

I've not seen a gt3 bumper, only in photos. I have an aero one and had thought if I was ever to go down the centre read route, I'd just cut the bumper. Other than that, my cars midnight blue so you'd never see the hole unless you were looking for it.

Obviously a gentleman would never tell. But then again, I've not been called a gentleman too often :floor:

Custom Concepts Do a carbon GT3 bumper for less than OEM.

Just had the cost back from OPC:

GT3 bumper - £1247 +VAT

It also required the black trim to sit behind - £117.98 + VAT

So circa £1638 inc VAT - A fair chunk for just the bumper before painting

I reckon I can get you one cheaper than you have been quoted.

Post the part number and I will ask the question if you like.

Crash - the part number is 996 505 980 03. It'll be interesting to see what price you can get his for. :thumb:

The CustomConcept prices look good. I think the next dilemma is to go OEM or not. Im not 100% convinced my OCD could let be buy from a 3rd party. But then its half the price...! Decisions!

My concern with the non-OEM is cracking. The original equipment should be more flexible. Also not sure on Carbon Kevlar as I believe that's quite porous so good for race track but maybe not for a road car?

There is also a company called clubautosport in the UK that do the fiberglass option. I think its about £380 for one of them so if you look at it you could buy about 5 of them for one OEM bumper. Depends on your level of OEM OCDness.

Not a huge saving, £1117 + VAT If of interest drop me a PM.

Thanks guys - lots to consider.

I've just taken a look at the Clubautosport bumper, for £300 ex VAT it looks a bargain.

Does anyone have any experience of them? Is the fit and finish any good?

And thanks Crash for getting the OEM cost down. I'll keep this in mind, much appreciated.
