I have not been happy with the way my car wanders at high speed & after reading about Centre Gravity on here & Pistonheads decided I needed a trip down. After getting booked in approx 3/4 weeks wait (must be good) off I went at 5.30am for my slot at 8.30. There usual treatment initially drive as is, back to shop for adjustments & drive again.
Mine was all within Porsche spec but after they had carried out their changes it's a different car, tracks a straight line now & feels much more planted. Another surprise is how much lighter the steering feels & it now straighten's up itself out of corners.
All in all an interesting day & a very satisfied customer.

Was anything changed or just adjustments?

Ended up spending just short of £500.00 which included changing a rear track control arm with a oem one they had in stock.
It was all just settling changes really. Track control arm wasn't bad , but made sense to have everything right while I was there.

What they do, they do extraordinarily well. Big fan myself, and I know a few others too. Not surprised at your experience. Delighted your delighted :thumb:

I used them for the first time last month. What a transformation. Stunning.

I'm a huge fan. When you think of the term artisan, you think of people who make things, bread, wood workers, blacksmiths, etc. But these guys are just the best. I'd put them in the Artisan cat for sure.

Chris is most definitely a 911 handling aficionado.

That's how I'd describe it, although I've only been with a mates car, not my own yet.
Before I went I knew they must be good but I did think "Well how much better can they do an alignment? There's only so many things you can adjust and anyone can adjust them".

It's the thought behind the adjustments though and how one tiny thing affects the next and so on.

I'll be visiting at some point although I couldn't justify it every year which is what most people recommend.
It's a fascinating day out though and good to know that when you leave your car is simply the best it can be with whatever components you have on it.

PS. Ayton that's a lovely car and an even nicer garden/courtyard. 8)

Once I'd got the fully monty done at CG I'd get down kwik-fit for a free check on their Hunter system & get a print out. You can then return back to kwik-fit every 6 months/year and do a comparison. If something looks like it's wrong, then get checked back in to CG.

Another very satisfied CG customer here! They really know their stuff.

Go and put some miles on it and come back if you have a bump or notice any creaking was their advice to me!

Im glad you tried them out in the end!

In the CoG FAQ it says they give you comprehensive before n' after settings for you to apply elsewhere if necessary.

Costwise, it says they work at £75+vat an hour, which is similar to an indy. It says a typical geo takes 4 hrs, so £360 all in as a starting point.

This also makes one realise that the basic 'geo' done by specialists for around £100 must be a bare-bones service.
