Driving home from work

Have had an alert that the rear light bulb is out when lights go on.

Turned off ignition and then It stays on for like 15 seconds then goes out.

Seen this before ? Faulty connection or would it be bulb and normally a bulb just goes out

There is sth buzzing or whirring in the engine bay I noticed too

Any advice welcome

have you actually looked if a bulb has failed? If they all appear to be illuminated when checking visually then it may be a high resistance issue. Replace the 'faulty bulb' or if it's working clean the contacts (bulb and holder) with a bit of scotchbrite. This should remove any corrosion that could be causing the higher than normal resistance, hence bulb fail, or of course bang in a new one, but check the contact are clean first. AFAIK the 'warning' does stay on for a few seconds after turn off. The buzzing from the engine compartment, was the ignition on? If so (again as far as I remember) that is the throttle resetting itself, no big deal in fact it makes sense to do it every now and again as it forces it into relearn mode ref your driving style.

thanks and will do that.

the bulb inside looks fine and no broken wire inside

could be the contacts with bulb and wiring so will hit that next.

was the wrong bulb in there.

was a single filement and now changed to dual.
