New mounts

Noticed the exhaust was dropping a bit on each side so after looking around at options thought I would try these 996/997 rs mounts. Hopefully get them fitted ASAP

New mounts installed ended up having to heat the nuts up to get the old ones out as wow they were tight even my impact gun could not mane them move. After a quick drive home the gear shift seems better and the response seems better too.

Yeah, as above. With the gearbox mount, the best, easiest, cheapest fix is to fit the poweflex gearbox inserts:

https://www.powerflex.co.uk/road-se...box+Front+Mounting+Bush+Insert+Kit/12311.html

Will stiffen up the handling and gear changes and only £30. Takes about 2 hours on the drive with car on ramps.

Keep an eye on those DANSK boxes, the flexi bit is VERY prone to breaking and start blowing.

By the way - lovely looking motor - ENJOY!!!!

........and welcome to the fold. :thumb:

Next job had a bit of knocking on the front end so thought I would have a look at the usual suspects so pulled the tuning forks out and could hear them knocking if I moved the bush up and down so hopefully this sorts it
