hi folks

am sure this has been done but can't find any links to what has been done and what is needed ?

any help or tips or links would be great.

thanks all and very helpful.

as if by fate or good timing the porsche specialist who has done loads of my cars has just tackled this on his own 997 3.6 tip and its worked well.

got a manual 997 wheel and the AMG paddles. bit of nerve with them dremmel and some wiring and hey presto. you have to space out the paddles a little to sit flush with the back of the wheels as the 996 is easier to do this over the 997 apparently.

speak to Martyn at Scotts Performance in Dartford if you want a price. also does good servicing and fixing your car.

picked up the 997 today and all sorted now with the AMG paddles on the multi function wheel.

massive thanks for Martyn at Scotts Performance in Dartford for sorting it and at very good prices too.

I sourced the paddles from Mercedes myself as one close and special order part but they can source the paddles and do the work for you.

I am a massive fan of the paddles and really sorts out the Tip from being a bit old manish into having some fun and really revving the car out how you want it.

thanks to folks on here for the pointers as you need the resistors on the mult function wheel but not the manual wheels for some reason.

does anyone know if you can blank out the old Tip switches and just have the metal covers there instead next to the multi function bits?
