Ok, i have PASM when pressing the button will it lower to 15mm ? And pressing back again will take up to 20mm is that correct?

Cheers

J

Hi J, what I managed to find out is:

if your car does not have PASM then the springs drop it by 20mm
if your car does have PASM then the springs drop it by 15mm, so in addition to pressing the PASM you will get a further 10mm:

Without PASM = 20mm
With PASM 15 + 10 = 25mm

Cheers,
John

Jeeeesus christ John997, ill have 15mm drop then pressing the PASM ill get a further 10mm drop ??? mmmmmmm..... bloody hell id rather have the configuration of 15mm drop then pressing the button for a further 5mm drop to get a total 20mm!!! Never mind we need to get these springs at the lowest price possible !!

Cheers...

J

Some clarification needed here I think!

PASM and pressing the PASM button does not lower the car - it just stiffens up the suspension.

The ride heights are fixed. A car with PASM is 10mm lower than one without when both are on standard springs.

The Techart springs are 15mm shorter than PASM springs and 25mm shorter than non-PASM springs - Therefore they will lower a non PASM car by 25mm and a PASM equipped car by 15mm compared to standard - again both will have fixed ride heights and pressing the PASM button merely stiffens the suspension.

 ah you got there before me Tim :thumb: yes gents as Tim says the PASM cars are set 10mm lower than non PASM the springs will lower it to the new ride height and it will stay at that ride height pressing the button only stiffens the ride it doesnt change the height like air ride suspension would :thumb:

heres some pics of my gen1 with Techarts fitted at different angles to hopefully give you an idea.

Thanks for your comments about my old gen1 gents

It is running OE 5mm all round but the aftermarket alloys are 8.5" and 11" so I suggest you consider the tried and tested 7mm and 15mm spacers or wait until its lowered and the top camber pulled it slightly and then measure and see what you need. also remember only use hubcentric spacers IMO on anything over 5mm although some will say a 7mm non hub shim is ok but its very close to the max. :thumb: Porsche shop amongst others do a good range of spacers including shims with hub spigots down to 3mm.

heres a comparison the gen2 is a 4S with the same alloys on as the gen1 so the offsets needed different spacers to get the stance right so after trying a number of different sizes ended up with 3mm front and 17mm rear this one is lowered on H&R which lower slightly more than the techarts and do scrape road humps a lot.

I hope the pics help you visualise what you personally are looking for :thumb:

Gentle Bump, recap we have so far:

1.. John997
2.. --997--

Will check when I can today, if I don't update the list then please message us and I will get back ASAP.

Thanks,
John

Just a little bump for John's group buy and some more photos to help people decide which is for them. Bottom photo is PASM car running eibachs springs on oem sports design rimms with 7&15mm spacers. Top photo is PASM car on Techarts with oem 5mm spacers although the wheels have a greater offset so probably close to 10 & 20mm on oem rims.

Cheers Mike, you after some sort of commission lol

It looks like a nice drop with the Techart springs, we just need one more but will leave this running a litle longer anyway when we get the 5th contender.

Have another forum member interested from speaking with him on the phone so hopefully will go ahead. Would be interesting if we get to 10, should definitly worth a further discount I say.

BTW, smashing wheels you have and the colour is pretty damm good, especially when you zoom in mate :thumb: :thumb:

But you need to get rid of that McDonalds Milk Shake in the holder :hand:

Hi all

final question so i know now that i need hub centric spacers in 5mm front & 7mm rear

but i cant find hub centric in these sizes they are all called shims and ideally need black ones with new longer black bolts and locking nut bolts

Ive also heard Porsche make their own official kit
