Coming to the 996 from a 968 club sport steering wheel (which I still believe was "perfection"), the 996 is just a tad too skinny until rewrapped just a couple of mm thicker.......
I did briefly have a Techart wheel in the car (briefly was less than an hour!) - felt horrible, diameter too small, rim far too thick - very easy to ruin the feel of the whole car by going to thick on the rim(!)
