IMS bearing advice 2006 Carrera S

Didn't infrasilver just bang a washing machine bearing in and remove the seals?

That's stood the test of time (& endurance).

A 3rd centre radiator kit would be on my list in those temps, tips have them as standard, silly cheap in the UK from main dealers.
Beware, a Tiptronics' central radiator is used for a different function as opposed to a manual's third radiator (where fitted).

There the potential for a whole new thread here to discuss the best options, alternative options and what not to do's if you have a car with the older smaller IMS .

are the only alternatives

1/ get the new oe bearings done as part of a rebuild
2/ remove the seals/covers and then leave alone.
3/ use the LN option

any other alternatives or avoids :?: :dont know:

You could also replace the bearing with a new one of the same type.
I wouldn't consider LN an option. Even they say it doesn't lsst.

MC

even LN say it wont last  thats not the best marketing strategy have seen :floor: :floor:
