Ignition Key Upgrade

I haven't posted in an age, but my ignition Key 1 has given up the ghost. Luckily I have two keys and Key 2 works fine.

I have changed the battery in it but that hasn't worked. So can someone recommend a key specialist that can fix it or provide a replacement, I wish to upgrade it to the later type as well to stop it going off in my pocket so want this done at the same time.

Interestingly one of my keys suddenly did the same last year. I assumed the battery had just died, so swapped the battery over for a new one and it just doesnt work.

I found various guides online saying that the key might need resyncing, but none of the guides I followed made any difference.

Luckily my spare key works fine, so ive been using that, but need to get the other one working again at some stage.
