Solar powered 996

Definitely constant live on my 2004 turbo.

Mine too.
 
Facelift cars seem to always be. 996.1 I've seen vary and I don't know why.
 
My cig lighter is only live with the ignition on (6.1).
I have my charger connected directly to the battery through a plug and socket.
 
My lighter socket is switched, so:

Then I riveted this to the roof:

And attached this to a beam (will clip the cable up neatly when I find the damn clips):

Just as the sun was going down, so can't check that it's going to work today, but hopefully tomorrow.

Great bit of info.

Been thinking about this for my garage as its 50m from my house and no power near it.

I am using the car regularly to keep the battery topped up but would be good for the winter months to have something to save it going dead.
