Royal Steering Wheels?

I am hoping that I have mopped up a new wheel for the Boxster, which I will get retrimmed...

Plan is to get it slightly thicker and red detail at the 12 o'clock position - dilemma is ... Leather or alcantara?

From my own experience (I had a wheel for my Mini retrimmed in alcantara by Jack), the alcantara does lose a little of its finish over time with use and mine is used as a second car and has done about 10k miles since being refinished & this appears to be a fairly normal situation apparently. Jack's service/workmanship is great & I'd use him again without hesitation.

Jack has done two in the past for me, both in alcantara, but the Boxster has a leather dash/door cards/seats etc - was wondering if the alcantara would 'clash' a bit and that leather would look more in keeping

Forgot to update this.

Got my wheel back in time for Spa, very happy with the results.
Had it trimmed in grey alcantara/blue stitching and made slightly thicker, sits well with the rest of the interior and feels 200% nicer than the skinny OE finish.

More than happy to recommend them.

Pics please, I've been meaning to do this for a while and your colour combo would suit my car. Is it still around £150?

Price was £150 + 10 return postage.

I covered the cost of sending the wheel to them.

I am looking for the pic on FB but after spending 5 mins with the search function I can't find it due to the vast amount of waffle on there.

A pic up here would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

Edit - thanks for the pic, nice wheel (& legs!)

Well - it arrived today! Really pleased with it and now leaves me wondering what to do - when you old the OEM wheel off the car you realise what a nice bit of kit it is....

Scored a bit of a bargain too...

I've always thought the original wheel was a little skinny, but have you noticed any reduction in steering feel with the thicker rim? Does look nice by the way.

Will tell you once it goes on the car! Off to get it done this afternoon

I have done this previously on 2 911 Turbo steering wheels and the only change I noticed was positive - I don't like the skinny wheels personally

I've just had one done for my sons Clio 182. Very good quality from royal.

And fitted....

(Thanks to Paul at Northway)

Already had an offer for the old wheel but undecided at present if I will keep it to go back to original if I ever sell the car
