PostPosted: Fri Aug 03, 2018 6:24 pm    Post subject: Looking for opinions/pics of wheels Reply with quote

I am considering a new set of wheels for my 997.2 turbo, so I would value your opinions on what looks good etc and recommendations.

I can`t do all black, before you start suggestions nooo especially after all the slagging I give them to my mates Grin , but I can suffer black centres as long as there is a bit of bling, i.e. polished rims or spokes etc.

TIA thumbsup

Current wheels ....

Love those gen 2 turbo wheels.
If you want a change, why not go carbon intakes and / or black stone guards?

I’d be interested in buying current wheels if you do end up changing.

Nothing wrong with what you have Steve, but I do understand the itch to try something else. personally and given yours is widebody and white I think vertini magics like I have, or in the garage I also have a set of AG ruger mesh they would look very nice on yours

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-LFyNRGgc9w

these are the guys to speak too about either as both are US alloys

Thanks for opinions, and the offer to buy but even if i change them the current wheels are keepers.
I agree they are probably the best wheels for the car, I was just concerned there was something else out there that I was missing Very Happy

I quite like the Vertini in black with polished face. Any clue as to price Phil ? PM me if it`s embarrassing Floor

Steve both the vertinis and the ruger mesh are quite reasonable and a set shipped from the US would be just over 2k so not too offensive a price to share on here Floor Floor if you want to see what either look like on the car your welcome next time your on the mainland to come to mine and try them on yours , the rugers have no tyres on yet but at least you would see them up close next to the car.the vertinis we can whip off mine to try on yours Thumb mine are anthersite with a flash of chrome on the face ,so you could even have that and still be able to put up your black alloy argument Thumb Floor Floor

I'm in a minority but the Gen 2 turbos really don't suit the car at all. Those ruger mesh in silver look totally incredible I'd bite Phil's hand off!

Some nice wheels on here! Very nearly went for the Vertini's like Phil's before buying my Oz Leggera HLTs. Those gold Ruger's on the 996 in the vid are a bit bling but I love them Thumb
