the pieces would be much thinner than a bearing carrier which I would say are made from a nylon type material. As the bits found in the oil are brown in colour, thin in section it makes me think of a plastic ball bearing carrier inside a bearing.
Just my thoughts and I hope I am wrong but could it be the very early signs of an IMS failure?
