Hi all, some of you may remember last year I was all set on selling my c4s and getting a granturismo or panamera.... well I had the advert and photos ready to sell.. but I just couldn't bring mulyself to go through with it and watch someone drive away in MY car! Well it's that time again, I need to break the emotional bond and move on to another car. Looking at a few recent posts the c4s just isn't selling at what people think they are worth, I see them stagnant at 20k and still hanging around. I posted on a Facebook porsche group yesterday and Phil Raby happened to be commenting, he said my car should be 25k private sale which has confused me even more! I was thinking more along the lines of 22-23k?
What are everyone's thoughts on the subject?

Cars ain't selling like they were back in 2015. The whole market has eased back. Collectors are only buying low mileage examples with GT and RS in the model name.

Shifting privately is a challenge. A discerning buyer who is aware of the issues will want a PPI with borescope and heaven only knows what that throws up.

Cash sale to a trader is not easy.

Perhaps the simplest option is to part-ex versus a used Granturismo or Panamera?

The private stuff seems to be parked, theres apparently some ads that have been around for some time.

My suggestion would be to try one of the specialists that seems to be shifting cars; Raby, Steve Bull, Paul Stephans, RPM; or possibly PX it to someone who has what you want like RSJ in Slough?

Appreciate the feedback, one thing I did forget to mention is I now want an R8 or a v8 vantage! Anyone have any experience with the vantage?
