I've a key that used to work, which was then lost, then found. Its since been removed from the ECU I'm guessing when the new key was issued . What kind of cost is involved, so the key is functioning again? I presume the chip is still active? Can a specialist do this, or this OPC only? Is it less complex or involving as the key was active prior? Is this just a Durametric reader job? TIA- Dean

On a 997 and you code all the keys at the same time so if you have 3 you code all 3 .. ipas codes are needed so for an indy it depends on if they can get them from opc .. i know we can so i expect most indys can .

Cost i think 0.5 hrs labour is a fair cost so £45 ish .

So its the same method, amount of time to add it back if it were a new key? I'll give OPC Cambs a shout, I'm there getting some parts collected next week. :thumb:

Yup .. 997 and you code all the keys at the same time .. 996 and its a single key you add to the system.

Dont forget to take all the keys to be coded and theres no guarentee it will work , ive had single keys not code for no reason but normally they are ok .

All you are codeing is the transponder , the chip / pill .. the remote is coded by putting the key in the ignition turning it on then pressing and holding the fob button for 5 seconds .

i would suggest 0.5 hours .. if they start talking 1hour then thats a little bit over the top .
