The Black Car Daddy - my beautiful 997.1T is for sale

Just don't tell my 8 year old daughter - she loves this car. The title of this ad is what she says when I give her the choice for a journey.

Delivered 21/10/06 997 Turbo, manual in Basalt black with Black interior. If you're looking for one of these you will know the standard spec so I won't repeat it all. The car has done 59,200 miles and is absolutely mint. This is an overused term but the paint protection film on the front has done an amazing job of keeping the paint pristine. The interior is a beautiful place to be, it is virtually perfect. If I was being a bit picky there is a very minor amount of wear on the driver's seat bolster but hardly noticeable. Full service history, all in the right time frame – some OPC but mostly the well-respected Northway Porsche.

The last visit to Northway was for a major service in Jan 18 when, as well as the service, it had 2 coil packs changed. Correct tyres were new 2,000 miles ago and a new battery was fitted in November. Plenty of invoices etc to back up the history.

I hate it when I read adverts that say no rush to sell but I am afraid it's one of those. I'm only looking to sell as we are moving house and our new place is up a narrow lane which won't suit the 997 at all.

I am asking £54k. I have already turned down £50k so please don't expect me to give it away. Happy for test drives but I need to see your Insurance and I will take a photo of your driving licence.

I bought this car 14 months ago as it was the best I had seen and the performance is insane. I'm not enjoying typing this but I know I won't make use of it in our new place. New owner will have nothing to spend for 2 years (except fuel which it sips at 22 to the gallon).

Some Pictures

What a faff but here it is - can't work out why the first 2 don't orientate properly

Nice car - sensibly priced. :thumb:

Why don't you place a proper advert in the 911uk classifieds. :?:

All the details are on the left hand side of the screen and it's free.

Going on AT this week, drove it over the weekend and was reminded how epic these cars are.

Once again, good luck. :thumb:

Sadly it looks like you're already experiencing how difficult it is to sell cars such as this privately. Most of the people in a position to turn up with £50k+ in cash are dealers and they don't want to pay much over 'trade' for stock.

Most people have cars they want to part-ex and/or want the finance facilities and have to pay a premium for a similar car. :nooo:

With luck you'll find that one person you need who's in apposition to do a good deal for themselves and you.

Thanks Terry, not really tried to sell it yet tbh, just this thread but you may well be right. I'll let you know :)

Loving the emails, will you take £45k no messing. err no. Couple of decent, genuine sounding enquiries though this weekend so we'll see.

Cheers

Paul

Well done!

Good work, I hope you got close to your asking price?
