Final problem of the day today, my key fob battery is draining dead within a week of replacement. it works fine when a new batteries fitted but within a week the red light no longer lights up and the remote locking doesn't work, anyone know the cause of this and can it be repaired or am I looking at buying a new fob from my local dealer?

cheers
chris

Hi Thom, I always post this but they worked wonders on my faulty fob.

Give them a ring and tell them your symptoms. If the programmed part of the key is ok, which yours seems to be, they can refurb all the other elements.
They done mine (as the key died altogether), fitted a new battery and cover and it came to £50. Better than £200 from main dealer.
