Looking good. :thumb:

I always fit a new screen to my 911s. I like a screen to be so perfect that it looks like there isn't a one there.

Will be getting mine done in the summer. Or I may wait until next year as I don't have OPC screen allowance with my current insurer. Not that I'm that bothered mind.

I tried locktons today for Insurance on the 914 and 911 and they can't get close to Peter James.
The 914 will be agreed value at 20k and the 911 at 12k with unlimited mileage at £404.
Locktons wanted £550.
The only possible advantage was the track day cover with locktons which I probably wouldn't use!?

Recently my car has developed a very annoying creak/clunk when taking up or letting off drive aggressively.
Nurse it of the line and it was absolutely fine.
I jacked the car up and checked everything that I could think that could cause the problem, heat shields secured, coffin arms, top mounts,ARB bolts all checked and appeared fine :dont know:

I had pretty much given up until I called Darren at Unique Porsche who immediately suggested checking the torque of the diagonal subframe support bars where they locate at the rear sill end.
Well ***** me he was absolutely spot on

The car had an AOS and MO30 fitted by a prominent North west based air cooled specialist just before I bought the car which tied in with the bolts slowly backing themselves over the last 1,000 miles or so!
A big up to Unique Porsche for being so very helpful :worship: :thumb:

£20k for a 914! Wow

I got the air con regassed today at Kwikfit and it is now icy cold!
That said I quite enjoyed having to drive around with the window down listening to the exhaust note.

You can still do that! You don't have to use AC

A trip to the Nurburgring this weekend and hopefully a few laps with the ever friendly North west TIPEC group.
Hopefully get to really stretch the 911's legs although I didn't do too bad coming back from Harrogate down the A59 on late Tuesday evening.
One of those defining driving moments.

It can be a decent run back from Harrogate to Langho......I know how you felt :D

Oh yes.. empty roads because of the England game.

I often run my sister to Leeds airport in the early hours on a Saturday morning. The blast back at 6am with only the odd truck is just bliss.

My reason for being in Harrogate was a factor as well I think. :cloud9:

Hopefully no unwanted mail this time though :what:

You been getting postcards again?
