I've come to the conclusion that I need to sell my 991 Carrera 4 GTS. I just don't have the time to drive it :(

I've not sold a car for a while privately (just traded in) so I wondered what advice people would have around how to price it, where to sell it.

Any thoughts?

Porsche Model 991 Carrera 4 GTS
Year 2015
Mileage 11,000
Number of owners: 2
Manual/Tiptronic/PDK: PDK
Exterior Colour: White
Interior colour : Black Leather
Service History Full Porsche
Extras fitted : PCM Nav, Heated Seats, Bose
Wheels size and style : 20" Black wheels
Amount of outstanding Porsche warranty - just under 2 years (just renewed in March)

Looking at the classifieds your car would retail at over £85k.

Pricing privately depends on how quickly you want to sell. Most private buyers of this type of car are either dealers looking for a nice car at trade price or a bit over or enthusiasts looking for a cut price (i.e retail -10%) bargain.

To attract either I'd suggest you need to advertise at under £80k and even then be prepared to be knocked down.

'Sale or Return' through a recognised specialist would probably get you the most cash and would be far less hassle.

Good Luck :thumb:

ps. If it's a 2015 car it should have had a service by now.

Try 911 Virgin. They are easy to deal with.

Agree with T8 on the pricing and SOR.

Intermediate service at 2 years.
Maintenance (major) at 4 years inc spark plugs and drive belt check. Guessing later this year or early next :?:
PDK service at 6 years.

+1 :thumb: I've done this several times (with 911V) completely hassle free, I'd suggest you'll get the same back as a private sale even taking their commission into account.
I personally wouldn't be buying a 85k car privately! It has full history, plenty left on the OPC Warranty, it's the right colour, it wouldn't be there long :thumb:

Try Dove House - totally painless transaction on my C4s - bid well over the dealer PX figure and transferred the funds to my account on collection. Recommended.

I dealt with Simon.
