1997 Porsche 993 Carrera 2

PostPosted: Wed Dec 09, 2015 10:59 pm    Post subject: Review Policy & Guidelines Reply with quote

Online reviews are growing more important by the day, especially for local businesses. Study after study show that what customers write about your business has a direct impact on the bottom line.

Summary

Make sure that the reviews and photos that you leave at a business you’ve visited whether good, bad or average, are honest representations of the customer experience. Those that aren’t may be removed.

Why are reviews allowed on 911uk

Online reviews affect more industries than ever, from restaurants to hotels, doctors to landscapers, so it's becoming increasing important with the Motor Industry to demonstrate Porsche excellence. Customers also find your reviews in more places than they used to: embedded in the search results, the annual Porsche Awards, Google searches through any platform, to name a few.

Whether you're going to a place or you own one, you want ratings, reviews, photos, and recommendations that are helpful and trustworthy. Reviewing a place and adding your own photos are great ways to share both positive and negative opinions. But please follow the policies listed below when writing your review and adding a photo.

What are 911uk's review guidelines?

We believe in free speech, transparency, and clear communication. When creating a review, we ask that you stick to the facts. The best reviews provide constructive information that helps the community make better decisions.

Review content policies

911uk's default position is not to censor, edit, or delete reviews. However, we reserve the right to remove reviews that violate our content policy.

In summary we don't allow:
•Reviews that do not represent a user’s personal experience .
•Reviews unrelated to the actual reservation (ex: political, religious, or social commentary).
•Content that endorses or promotes illegal or harmful activity, or is profane, vulgar, obscene, defamatory, threatening, or discriminatory.
•Content that violates another person’s or entity’s rights.
•Reviews incentivised by a promise for payment, additional services, or a discounted rate
•Content that is proven to be used as extortion.
•Content that refers to an 911uk investigation.

We’ll remove content that violates any of the content policies below:

Advertising

Don’t use reviews for advertising, such as adding links to other websites or phone numbers. Reviews should be a genuine reflection of your experience with a place - don't post reviews just to manipulate a place's ratings.

Spam

Don’t spam. Write a genuine report of your experience with the place. Don't include promotional / commercial content, don't post the same content multiple times and don't write reviews for the same place from multiple accounts.

Off-topic reviews

Don’t post reviews based on someone else’s experience, or that are not about the specific place you’re reviewing. Reviews aren’t meant to be a forum for general political or social commentary or personal rants. Wrong location or the place is closed? Use the Report a problem link to report that information instead of writing a review.

Keep it clean

Don’t use obscene, profane, or offensive language. We’ll also remove reviews that represent personal attacks on others.

Conflict of interest

Reviews are most valuable when they are honest and unbiased. If you own or work at a place, please don’t review your own business or employer. Don’t offer or accept money, products, or services to write reviews for a business or to write negative reviews about a competitor. If you're a business owner, don't set up review stations or kiosks at your place of business just to ask for reviews written at your place of business.

Illegal content

Don’t post reviews that contain or link to unlawful content, like links that facilitate the sale of prescription drugs without a prescription.

Copyrighted content

Don't post reviews that infringe others' rights - including copyright. For more information or to file a infringement request, review our copyright procedures.

Sexually Explicit Material

We don't allow reviews that contain sexually explicit material. Also, we absolutely don’t allow reviews that sexually exploit children or present them in a sexual manner. For this type of content, we'll remove the review, shut down the account, and send a report to the relevant law enforcement authorities.

Impersonation

Don’t post reviews on behalf of others or misrepresent your identity or connection with the place you’re reviewing.
Personal and confidential information: Don’t post reviews that contain another person’s personal and confidential information, including credit card information, government identification number, driver’s license information, etc.

Hate Speech

We don't allow reviews that advocate against groups of people based on their race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, veteran status, sexual orientation, or gender identity.

Extortion Policy

Reviews are a way for users to share their experiences with the community. Any attempt to use reviews to force a user to do something they aren’t obligated to do is a misuse of reviews, and we don’t allow it.

This also means that:

•Users are not allowed to threaten to use reviews or ratings in an attempt to force a host to provide refunds, additional compensation, or a reciprocal positive review.

•Businesses are not allowed to require a user to leave a positive review or rating, or to revise a review in exchange for a partial or full refund, or reciprocal review. The business also cannot offer a free or discounted provision of service in exchange for a user revising an existing review.

•If a user contacts a host with a problem, the host should make every effort to resolve it. The business can't ask the guest to take specific actions related to a review in exchange for the resolution of the problem. After the issue is fixed, a business may ask the guest to leave a positive review or rating. A business may also ask a user to 'revise' a negative review provided certain time constraints are met.

Whether you're a user or business , make sure you follow these guidelines. If you don't, your account may be restricted, suspended, or terminated. By posting a review, you agree to follow the 911uk Site Rules (guidelines and policies) that 911uk may enforce at our sole discretion.

Can a business write reviews?

Yes. Business owners are welcome to write reviews of other businesses in line with the review guidelines. However, business owners are not allowed to represent themselves as consumers when discussing their own services or products. We ask you to disclose your ties to your business in your comments and to act as representatives of your business in all communications on our site. Any reviews that we are made aware of as being fake, untrue or inappropriate about a business or its competitors may be removed and accounts creating them may be deleted at our discretion.

Tips for writing great reviews

Writing great reviews helps others discover the places that are just right for them. Here are a few tips:

Be informative and insightful

Be specific and relevant to the place you’re reviewing, and describe what other visitors are likely to experience. Highlight what makes the place special, and try to share something novel and new. From signature dishes to secret sale racks, reviews should reveal the unique experiences that places offer.

Keep it real

Be authentic. Review your own experience, and explain why you liked or disliked the place. Try to be as accurate as possible, and include both the positive and negative aspects of your visit.

Be respectful

Not every experience with a place is going to be perfect. Sometimes you’ll want to share negative feedback. Even if you’re frustrated, make sure your criticism is constructive. Business owners often use feedback to improve their offerings.

Reviews not General Commentary

At times certain locations may become the subject of larger public debate or conversation due to recent news coverage or current events. While we respect and value your opinion, Local Reviews are not meant for social or political commentary. We think there are other forums that are more suited to those kinds of conversations, like blogs or social networks. Please write about your firsthand experience with the place and not general commentary on the place in relation to recent news.

Write with style

People will pay attention when you write thoughtful reviews. Keep them readable and avoid excessive capitalisation or punctuation. Use good grammar, check your spelling, and avoid profanity. Choose the right length - a paragraph is great. Be creative and have fun!
