Porsche supports the grass roots owners!!

Volkswagen Audi Group have the moral high-ground do they?

They seemed to have over looked OPC's selling cars at premiums :hand:

Porsche slap the people with more money than sense and every credit to them.
That said they embrace the owners of every Porsche model and revel in their heritage which many brands forget.

heritage

Revel in their heritage allright, well revel in punting the parts prices up and up!

Try owning an old ford to experience a maker not interested in anything over 10 years old.

If they really cared about it then they would sell more of their limited production cars to people who had a history of keeping them for a long time and fewer of them to people who did not. Sadly, their allocation policy is very much the opposite, with the most profitable customers who replace their cars every day and twice on Sundays being the only ones who even get a chance to buy the flip-tastic limited volume models that everybody wants. Only people who by definition WILL short sell them at a profit even get the opportunity to buy, and that is the issue and it is an issue of Porsche's own making. Which in turn makes the article in question hilariously disingenuous. :judge:

I was only having this debate a couple of hours ago with another Porsche owner .We did discuss the fact that the more money than sence guys probably had to have brought 4 or more new Porsches and suffer the huge depreciation the first owner often suffers even on Porsches, so they then get the chance to recoup those losses by flipping a limited edition car. It is a valid point that gets overlooked, not saying its right or wrong but its a position that often isnt considered when everone moans about who gets to buy Ltd Ed cars and flips them. :thumb:
