Essex Turbos

Hi

My turbos are looking tired, boosting to max of 0.7 (noting that its a X50) it should be boosting 0.8 / 0.9. The driverside turbo is also leaking oil.

I would like to to keep my originals, rather than buy new (can't afford) or re-manufactured (probably chinese).

I wondered whether anyone had used or had an opinion on Essex Turbos?

They've been there absolute donkeys years and did a load of stuff with Cosworth boys in the past and moved onto Japanese cars in the boom years with no complaints I've heard of. They did my mates T28 Hybrids for his Z32 and they lasted at 18lbs plus of boost for a good number of years before he sold the car. I've never heard anything bad about them in all the years they've been about and despite never having directly dealt with them, stories of people they have dealt with that I know have been positive.
