I am changing my stereo for a Becker Grand Prix and noticed this single green cable behind the stereo. Any ideas what it is for?

Just found an old thread that says:

Green wire is the alarm wire. It has been connected to the original head unit frame, and was grounded when the unit was extracted. Insulate with tape/shrink tube and tuck away.
