a Potential buyer wants my car at Porsche torque to do a 4 hour check on my car which I know it will pass as its been already tested at RSJ prior to them buying it in.
My question is how much stress on the engine, what will they take apart for the camera test etc. Do I have anything to worry about them removing parts and refitting etc

Any experience from Porsche torque and details of this is appreciated

Removing spark plugs and shoving a snake camera up there ... hope it didn't sound to explicit wasn't intended to excite anyone :thumb:

Easy as that, anything else that they would do, not sure, maybe take oil out and check for any metallic particles, check oil filter maybe, depends how deep they wanna get into your engine !! :D

4 hour test to check for everything prior to a client purchasing a car

No matter what the investigation is, it's no more than invasive than a regular service, dependent how deep they want to look. The only different is the camera down the spark plug hole but this is normal procedure nowadays.

Porsche Torque have a health reputation on here.

4 hours sounds about right for a full PPI and borescope , much of it will be taking photos and making notes for the buyers report, they will be chacking thinks like condition of suspension , cables/lines/hoses , brakes. possibly putting on a durametric checking over revs , and stored data etc etc.

Sid and the Porsche Torque guys will take care of the car. They are a well respected garage. I have taken my car there before. Have no problem reccomending them.

I assume they are paying? It's really not a problem, and and pretty normal these days. At least your buyer is serious and knows what to look for instead of being a dreamer!

I don't know how you are going about this process but a buyer did a similar thing with a friends 996 C4S.

The buyer had the car picked up on a trailer and taken the 40 miles to a specialist, the car was inspected, given the all clear and dropped back. Upon the next day, the buyer came to collect the car and to both parties surprise, there was a new scratch to the rear wing, as if someone had slid along the car..

Luckily the buyer still bought the car as it was clearly done by the transported or specialist so be careful if you are letting the car go out of site.

911Virgin use Sid at Porsche Torque (and they are less than a mile from his workshop) - that's all the recommendation he needs in my book...

I'm a regular customer of Porsche Torque (and 911V for that matter), Sid and his team will evaluate the car properly, including the bores, it will be reported on with no preference given to potential buyer or seller, it will be what it will be :thumb:

Porsche Torque are top blokes with a great reputation so the car will be in good hands, just don't pee on the floor of Sid's toilet, obey all the signage in the toilet, don't ignore any of the toilet instructions.

There will be absolutely no 'stress' on the engine or any of its components. You can't do a borescope with the engine running, you just take the spark plugs out and insert a fibreoptic camera to have a look-see.

As far as the rep of Porsche Torque goes let put it like this - there are many engine builders out there but the only person who I had build my turbo engine recently was Sid at PorscheTorque and I'm 250 miles away! Its a thing of beauty. Sid and the gang went the extra mile for me and I have nothing but positive things to say.

This has pretty much been answered but its a straight forward inspection .. there is no pass or fail as such we are just noteing anything worn or what we feel may need attention either now or in the future..

It can be a bit hard as we tend to compaire it to a new car to the point if your cig lighter doesnt stay in when pressed its noted as ineffective .

Scope test is as already mentioned , remove the plugs and inspect with a camera .. not really possible to damage anything so no worrys there .

Ive only ever herd good things about Sid to be honest .

You're in great hands - what Sid doesn't know about Porsche engines can be written on the back of a postage stamp in 6ft high letters.

I've already got a total engine rebuild booked in the back of my mind, when the time comes, and it will ONLY go to one place. And that's to Side. :thumb:

That and 'Don't eat the big white mint" when using a urinal, is all the toilet advice you'll ever need.

And if you add 'Don't Pay the Ferryman (till he gets you to the other side)' are pretty much all the life advice you'll ever need too
