I'm in the market for a 996TT.

I'm checking 911uk.com of course
autotrader.co.uk
ebay (ugh)
pistonheads.com

The specialists seem to have a very elevated view on the value of their cars - any that don't price a boggo 996T with 80k miles at 40k+?

Many thanks

Talk to some specialists and discuss their stock or ask them to notify you if something in your budget is coming in. I'd suggest as a starter:
911Virgin
JZM
Northway
Chappell Cars
Paragon

Lots of others also - look at the sponsors on this site.

OP - where are you based...>??

Solid suggestion - buying a 'cheap' one from a non-specialist could mean big bills!

out of curiosity what value are you expecting for a 'boggo' 996T with 80k miles from a trader?

One of Cheshire 911's friends has a 2003 turbo done 36,000 miles that he'd like to sell.
worth dropping him a PM

I found mine via Pistonheads, but I searched the above sites you mentioned and on here.

Maybe put a post on the Wanted section and see if you could get one off a fellow enthusiast?

Apollo,
good find. Thanks for that.
I'm torn between buying privately and from an established outfit like 9e. The price delta isn't that much, may prove a better risk than winging it.

Pleasure mate, I bought my car from 9e back in June 2015 and have had not a single issue. They check those cars over thoroughly before selling them so unless you are getting a good deal on the PVT sale I would call them up and at least have a chat. I think Ken is away this week but Adam is there

I've seen a couple between low 30 and 35K gbp.

There's an X50 tip for 35k, 108k miles in Chichester.
A couple of rough ones below 30k, but I'd wager they'd cost a lot more once they've been fixed...

Try Porschemode in North London.

I bought my car from them and they were great - there are others on here who bought from them, too, who have had good dealings
