Anyone know a Porsche Specialist in the North West area that does MOT's?

Would prefer to take to some where that know's Porsche's rather than the local MOT centre.

Take it to OPC Wilmslow. They'll give you a courtesy car and wash/vacuum if you wish :thumb:
I've had a couple of nice loan cars from them

Why :?:

There's absolutely nothing in an MOT that requires anybody to know anything about any particular marque of car.

That said I always go to a trusted MOT centre and have them do it while I wait.

Because if they are lifting the car up to inspect underneath I want them to use proper jack adapters on the dedicated jacking points. if I take it some where less familiar with Porsche they may just jack up on the sump or a control arm or maynot have the correct jack adpaters.

Also if they know the brand and the cars well, they will know all the common little faults which can go wrong with these cars and they may spot something and comment on it was my thinking.

No problems. They're a tad more expensive bit the way I look at if I wanted to rent one if the cars I couldn't do it for 3 x the price of the MOT
It changes my view on the Panamera, that's for sure

Do OPC Wilmslow have in-house MOT?
Many main dealers across brands farm it out to independent MOT centres.
OPC Chester have in-house MOT now. Last year they brought it in-house.

I'd guess many Indy Porsche specialists also farm out MOT to an independent MOT facility. So not sure why its so important to have an mot carried out by someone who 'knows' Porsche......

Goes up the road 500m.

I used to take mine to the local random MoT test centre that I use for all cars, and wait whilst it was done....the only time I took mine to an OPC, the MoT test was done at 'Mr MoT's' or something similar and I seemed to be charged a premium!

Loe bank motors http://www.loebankmotors.co.uk I used to mot there just to get a nice drive out plus Chris took my a\c to pieces and fixed it one time, they also have 4 wheel alignment etc and there is a reasonable spray shop next door
