Hi , so 3 weeks ago a bought a 997 c4s ,
Drove it 200mile home but have not driven it since ,
Although from a main dealer it just isn't up to standard so I've been a busy bee with the restoration ,
Started with re dye on the cab roof ,
Then added a front splitter
Then compounded the head lights
Then added new rear lights
Then 3 stage compound da buff to rid all the terrible swirl marks out of the so called non scratch able ceramic coat ,

Waiting on a new rear turbo style spoiler then the exterior is complete .

Then to start on the interior with hydro dipping :)

Pics attached ;( [/list]

Nice job! Very satisfying... currently in mid-detail of mine. Well, I've clayed the front so far.

Paint looked bad before, hopefully the ceramic coating took the brunt of it rather than the clearcoat.

Whoa, I can't believe they sold a car with those swirls!

What have you re-proofed the roof with? (I've had good results in the past with the Autoglym fabric roof kit)

And is the Autoglym EGP a temporary last stage product? I thought on another thread you were considering a sealant?

Looking much better, good work :thumb:

:thumb: Excellent job.

Can't believe the amount of swirling - looks like someone washed the car with a bucket of gravel. :nooo:

WOW that's looking superb mate :thumb:

Love the splitter 8)

Nice work, was wondering how long we'd have to wait to see some pics. Self restoration on the roof or called in the expert help? If help they're charging too much wearing a Rolex :floor:

My watch never comes off :) !
It's wasn't opc it was a bmw dealership !
But they still told me car had a full machine polish before I collected it - t0ssers !!

In fairness you couldn't see them in normal light , only with the led spot lights on the car !! But it's still not had a machine polish like I was promised ,,,

I see your in Yorkshire it wasn't a Bradford bmw dealer? I was amazed in the pub last night when a mate said he'd never seen Rockunrolla :hand:

No bmw Sunningdale down south !
I'm at Wakefield !
Don't venture to Bradford too often,
I try to keep a low profile :)
Unless I'm screaming round in my bright orange Lamborghini , ha ha
But if u blink uve missed me
:bandit:

Never seen Renovo sprayed before, like the idea of that. Did you spray the proofer too?

I will be spraying the proofed on yes :thumb:
