well - deposit put down, inspection done, work already done to the car - I just wanted to know if anyone knew it?

I took that car for a test drive last March before settling on a different car. There were a few little bits that needed seeing to and I believe that Northway got the job of putting it right. There was an issue with the carbon strip that runs along the bottom of the windscreen, it had warped (they all do) and the previous owner had decided to remove it, leaving an unsightly mess of adhesive on the leather where the carbon had been. I would imagine that has been put right by now, probably at great cost! The TPMS was showing a fault, possibly just dead batteries. I found that the brakes were very grabby, with a tendency to lock the inner front wheel, but they worked well and that may well just be a characteristic of the PCCBs that I didn't have enough time to adjust to.

I was left in no doubt that Paul at SuperVettura was prepared to do what was necessary to rectify any issues, I found him to be a very decent guy who really knows his cars and was very pleasant to deal with. I settled on a different car at the time, but I would certainly entertain the idea of buying from SV in the future.

Thanks for the info - I actually know Ray at Northway so I'll contact him for more details!

The car has recently had:

Full service to manufacturing specification
Removal of engine and gearbox to address a small leak from the gearbox gasket.
Fitted New Air Conditioning compressor
Fitted new exhaust gas temperature sensor
Fitted new front radiator and associated water hoses
Fitted New battery
Replace TPM Sensors
4 new MPSs
PCCB known wear

I'll ask about the carbon strip!

You're welcome :thumb:

I guess Northway's inspection uncovered a few bits and pieces, but it looked and felt like a good car based on the test drive.

The carbon strip was purely a cosmetic issue, but it did detract from an otherwise nice interior with the yellow details and carbon bits everywhere.

It was priced a little high for the year/miles when I was looking, but I'm sure there was a deal to be done and the price has since dropped.

I hope that you're happy with the car when you see it.

Nice

Nice car
Love the spec
Pccb
carbon trim
color
sports seat
yellow dials
yellow stitching

The millage is a bit high and Tip

But the price shows that I think.

47k is what it think its worth.

It's a daily driver...I don't worry about miles or residuals. And tip is what I want as it's a daily hence in traffic a lot.

I did have a pause for thought about the PCCBs and the cost to replace, but if they wear out at 180k I'll replace with steels, or replace with steel and keep the ceramics in a box for any resale!

I'm also told by a Bentley GT specialist not to worry about and spider cracks in the discs ....but I hope that's not something I ever have to worry about!

I have a car with very similar spec Slate Grey inc. PCCB and at 46k miles there is no discernible wear on the discs at all. I have tyres supplied by Oponeo sent to my local OPC for fitting as they take real care not to cause any damage. I'm just not confident that a generic tyre and exhaust place would understand how delicate / expensive the discs are. Another benefit of PCCB is the lack of brake dust or corrosion so wheels stay clean longer and on my 10 year old car the alloys still look as good as new.

I love the tiptronic and feel it really suits the car's character, good luck with the new car!

thanks! I'll heed that advice re tyre fitters :D

I'm told that PCCBs the fronts start at 35mm and these are now at 34.6 and the rears start at 29mm and these are on 27.7mm after 64k miles road use.
