Evening all,

Been lurking for a couple of months so thought i'd just say hello.

Finally got my dream car recently and i've really enjoyed the forum, I haven't posted much yet but thanks for the info and advice i've already gleaned so far from other threads/posts.

I'm looking forward to a little bit of modding, nothing major but, well you know how it is....

So far i've not done a lot, here's a few pics...

Gave it a good clean, then a week in bird poo had etched the clear coat on the bonnet so decided to give it a machine polish - came up lovely although phone pics don't do it justice.

First (sort of) mod was hardwiring front and rear dash cams. I can't help but use this thing as my daily and so will need to leave it in a station car park every day (naturally right down then end where no one else can be arsed to park) but i needed the dashcam for some peace of mind, not only driving but parked up too.
Installed a Thinkware F800, nice bit of kit and speed cam alerts was a bonus. Had a Blackvue before but think this is a better setup.

I looked for a car with PSE but i still wanted a bit more sound from the exhaust, so i had a Milltek rear silencer delete installed (i live on the same road as Dovehouse which is handy). Sounds good!

Did an interior bulb change to LED, plus the rear number plate bulbs.

^couldn't resist, i love how the rear end looks in the dark :)

I can't seem to ever resist going for a stealth look, so i swapped out the stock exhaust tips with some GTS ones as i prefer the black surrounds.

Then i plastidipped the read badge to see how it looks, quite please with it.

I think thats it so far, i'm sorely tempted by the DSC V1 as my next mod.

cheers

and now you all know i have no idea how to post pictures :pc:

Lovely car. :thumb:

Are you happy with the performance? What car did you come from?

Nice :thumb:

Congrats!

Welcome to the forum.

Looking good, nice reflections of dusk sky in the Just washed pic.

Please tell me you have a garage!

Not taken you long to jump into tasteful modding. :D

Camera install looks very professional, I'm sure you know that your own footage can be also used as evidence against you.

I've also been considering black rear badge.... still undecided about the matt finish.

Looks very nice. Some good mods also - good man!
Enjoy.

Welcome and cracking motor!!! Like the subtle mods

You are spoilt for choice for Porsche support with Dovehouse and DW Performance on your doorstep. I will be off to DW in Wellingborough myself next week to get a service done. I pulled the trigger on the DSC v1 group buy this week, I am assured it's a good investment so looking forward to finding out for myself.

Enjoy!!

Nice. I also have a black 997.2 c2s, and i'm a couple of miles down the road

Dove house are utterly brilliant, if i lived in scotland i would drive down and have them look after my porsche

Great looking car roocat and some nice mods there.

When you said about parking at the end of the car park at the station made me think of a black 997 always parked at the end of my local station - seeing your pics, it's you! I park in the other car park there right at the back :) I don't like all the loose gravel in 'your' car park

Welcome to the forum and well done finding a lovely looking car. hope to hear more as you get into the mods . :thumb:

Great first post!

Can I ask where you found the GTS exhaust tips (if not the dealer) and the ThinkWare F800 dash cam set up?

:welcome:

Loving the subtle mods

Car looks great too

Congrats buddy and welcome. Lovely motor - if its your first 911 you certainly wont look back.

Re the Cams - some twat clipped my front bumper the other day and look a nice layer of paint off. Not the end of the world as £150 will get it sorted but those Cams look like a good idea. Are the motion sensored - how much were they and did you fit them?

Cheers

Dan

Welcome! great first post you obviously learnt we all like pictures :thumb:

Looks great enjoy, not sure what car you come from but take it easy until you get used to her.

:welcome:

Your car looks great and the good news is they get better every day.

You've inspired me to go and wash mine.
