I've just spotted a 997 GT3 in white clubsport pack in the BCA catalogue.....not the sort of car you would expect floating through an auction....How much would this be expected to achieve? Seems a nice spec and with 56k and 7 OPC service stamps the history is all there!

Porsche are the customer BCA are selling it for. It will go for retail

Maybe it has over revs and therefore porsche cannot/will not put a warranty on it...?

They need a factory service history to retail it through an OPC and a lot of them have been looked after by specialists so it could be that too. The other possibilities are that it may either have modifications which are too expensive to reverse (and still make money - just swapping aftermarket brakes to stock through an OPC costs thousands, but if it were on non-OE wheels or something like that it gets silly) or the mileage may be too high for them to want to retail it.

In short, there are actually quite a few reasons why an OPC wouldn't retail a perfectly decent GT3, so it could be a very decent car.

No pics or appraisal yet so I will keep an eye out.....prices do seem nuts at BCA....I bid on a 996 C4S when I was looking. I went to Blackbushe specifically to view/bid on it. CAP was showing £19200 and I was under the impression it would go for the £23k mark....It was a good one but needed money spent such as tyres, discs & pads and a few little cosmetic jobs. I bid up to £25800 which with the buyers premium would've owed my £27000 which was a lot in my eyes for an auction car with a lot of unknowns....the hammer fell at over £27k!!

I would expect that to go for £80k- £85k give or take a few grand

I think it will be 70k ish
I'd tend to say more like £70k, purely because anything £75k+ will get you a lower mileage car from a decent independent dealer.

Which independent is selling a lower mileage Clubsport for £75k?

:agree:

Comforts start in high 70s, clubsports in the 80s and not nc essarily low mileage either.

How long ago was it yours?

Looks like it's been withdrawn....

None, not CS anyway, but there have been some nice, comfort spec cars about at £75. Club Sport seem to be a little higher again.
