Hi,

Could fellow 996 GT3 owners, who frequently track their car, please share their brand of exhaust and how that brand copes with static noise testing?

I presume 105db circuits should be fine, but 101db.. probably not?

I can't ascertain the brand of my system, but Haywood & Scott have added additional mufflers to it some years ago. I spent some time with Ian at H&S this morning who was very helpful in looking over the exhaust and running through my options. I'd likely need to repack the mufflers and possibly replace the cats.

As it stands 'road use' warm, clutch depressed and a/c off, I registered 105db at 6,000pm. Touch and go...

How does that compare with other 996's / exhaust brands?

Thanks,
Matt

you can get bolt on silencers (google search + check on here + rennlist) though youll have trouble in general with non 105db days.

When mine was OEM, it was touch and go and Bedford but they let me on. If i go again, itll be 105db days
