Just remembered, do you still need to know the route of the harness? I was looking at the car today but I'd forgotten all about it!

No fine Ian got that sorted cheers :thumb:

So its been a slow burner however made a bit of progress lately got the clutch working stripped an rebuilt the slave cylinder so now drives , When I got the car the rev counter and speedo were goosed speedo turned out to be the drive cable so that's been replaced it works of the cap that goes on the stub cant quite get the centre cap on the wheel to sit flush however think it will fit with a bit of tinkering.

So a new set of black mats purchased, my grey leather rear seats from a 968 have been dyed black got the kit from furniture clinic which I have been impressed with and delighted with the finish going to give the steering wheel a going over as well so now have most of the electrics working on the interior my caymen seats are wired in and working interior now a good place to be :thumb:

before and after

Hoping to get it to the painters in about 6 weeks so started a bit of prep de-badging, the sills had been hand painted silver and looked a bit wavy in places so decided to strip the paint and see what lurked below all in all not bad at all other than the chunk of filler at one end which will be chopped out.

not sure at this stage if the side protectors will go back on

waiting on the rear calipers coming back from the powder coaters also had to get the bleed nipples drilled out which were seized solid have also loosened the bolts on the rear shocks (That was fun)ready to to swap them out

A bit of a frustrating day went to fit the short shift kit from only944 nice little bit of kit however cant get the linkage to slip of the rod at A in the pic so will leave it soaking this week and maybe try a bit of heat next weekend

and the exhaust heatshield disintegrated when I sneezed in the wheelarch so that on the shopping list

Nice one Ian I have read a few of these upgrades with the 1.8T also seen the ones with the 4.2 audi v8

Still not got the bloody selector off yet  and the numpty that poder coated my calipers was meant to sort out the bleed nipples bloody sorted it right out drilled through the base and re-tapped it  so on the lookout for a left rear caliper not been the best weekend but got the roof fitted on the log cabin :thumb:
