My OPC is trying to get technical help on this one, but I thought I would see if this issue is known to anyone on here.
Situation: cruising along 2250 rpm in 7th. Accelerate to load up the transmission and every two or three seconds there is a momentary increase in revs, say to 2450 then back onto 2250, both audible and seen on rev counter. No change in the drive itself. If conditions are right, it is possible to hear an audible scraping sound when this happens. It seems that the clutch is momentarily slipping. It does it most in low rev, high torque situations. This has been happening over the last few weeks.
The OPC changed the clutch oil a month or so back, and today completed a 'soft' synchronisation programme to try and improve the gear change. This is a lot better, but the clutch slip (if that is what it is) remains as before.
Low oil pressure, a faulty valve pack, a number of suggestions have been made. The OPC has to follow a diagnostic programme set by Porsche and it does not seem to include addressing this type of fault. Before I get to the 'replace the gearbox' stage I am trying to find out if there is relevant PDK knowledge and expertise out there somewhere. Any thoughts and guidance would be appreciated.
