Hi. I have seen pictures of the silver plastic bits on the dashboard in black (leather covered). I think it looks way better and can diminish the ugliness of the interior (which I generally like) a great deal.

Does anyone know whether it can be removed and painted very easily, or whether anything like this is obtainable?

Thanks

Hi Steve,
There are a number of options all with differing prices, all the parts are quite easily removed inc the cup holder cover. The silver finish in the S cars is called Galvarno and in the non S cars the more grey finish is called Volcano

1. carbon replacements these can be OE lots of cash or aftermarket less but still expensive

2 Painted you can remove and sent to a coatings specialist like wicked coatings in Poole , they can do any colour you want,Piano black is what most do, and they use high quality lacquers for a great finish. they can also do carbon dipping.

3 Leather , again remove and send to Linas at DesignLS he's a very highly rated retrimmer on this forum.

My only observation would be if your going leather then you really need to consider doing the centre console the same for a full look.

Be very careful if you are removing the air vents they are very fragile and expensive to replace.
