Thanks Ian.

Any chance of a demo if you're local to Windsor / London.

Id reply yesterday, but that's gone awol.
If you type in the name on YouTube there are quite a few on the lift and probably good enough for what you need.

If you are interested in buying a QuickJack this may well be the weekend to do it! They are offering a discount price for today and this weekend only.

The BL-5000SLX: WAS £1113.00 NOW £999.00 + VAT

I have one of these:

https://www.costco.co.uk/view/p/arcan-2000kg-aluminiumsteel-service-jack-model-hj2000eu-900930

I like it because:

1) It has wide footprint - its really stable
2) Its lightweight, these jacks can be heavy when made of steel
3) low entry (I bought it for a previous 350z which was lower than the 911). However this has proven useful when I strapped my gearbox to it.

Axle stands I use my dads old ones and these

Don't bother with the folding type like this:

they wobble around all over the place.

Arrrrggghhhh I must resist!

Called them but recorded message they are at the show in Brum.
Maybe they will monitor web inquiries, or reply after the show.
If I get the discount I will buy one, I will then be able to justify it to myself.

I dropped them a message and they will respond to all enquiries on Monday after the show is done with.

Not sure how I can sneak it into the garage without the wife finding out, although you would be surprised at the amount of stuff ive snuck in there without her finding out...

And you posted that on here, you had better be sure you have not peed anyone off reading it and they grass you up :floor:

Yep, they called me straight away on Monday once they got back from the show and I ordered the 5000 model with the show discount. They said it should arrive this week. Now im wondering how big the actual thing will be when it arrives.

When I got mine (ex-demo on eBay) they came well packed in 3 boxes, one for each 'ramp' and one for the pump/hoses/pads etc.

Once assembled the ramps each weigh around 36kgs, obviously the guy in the picture on the front of the box holding one in each hand is much bigger and stronger than me!! Luckily the small wheels on the end mean they can be rolled around relatively easily.

I have one of these already good lift works well but putting the thing together a real pain, why it can't be assembled at the factory is beyond me :dont know:

36kg? I was getting worried then until you mentioned the wheels on the end. Phew!

Cheers. Wifes just sent me a picture of a bloke unloading mine from a huge lorry parked on my drive, so looks like mine has arrived already. Pretty quick service.
