Not just me then. That's a relief as I can assume nothing is faulty
Although I'd like the strip on as the daytime light.
 
I think if you have the interfacing software- for looking at certain parameters like mileage, hours, rev range etc. You can play with settings for non intrusive stuff like DRL's.
Maybe a previous owner's had a tweak and fiddle...
