Be good to know who you use and where they are...... obviously providing you would reccomend...... I am in N.Somerset and Bristol seems to be lacking in decent indys!

Baz from Hartech recommends them on here them, Stewart and Andy 35 years OPC between them at Exeter Porsche

1/OPC down here is £150ph minus club discount plus vat
2/brookspeed indy £85ph plus vat
3/local Porsche mobile tech (ex opc and brookspeed) £50ph no vat (911uk forum
members rates)
4/me for cute girls in short skirts £5ph everyone else £1000ph :floor: :floor:

The easiest way would be to ask whoever you have in mind?
In general, OPC have two rates - one for modern classics and one for everything else. For a 996 it is considered a modern classic and they charge £75/hr + VAT = £90/hr.

I don't know if there is a price differential for OPC's that are based in Home Counties and the Capital. Bear in mind that each dealership is its own business and generally part of a different motor group (apart from 4 that are owned by Porsche GB - which I think are Hatfield, West London, East London and Reading). Porsche Wilmlsow and Porsche Bolton are part of Pendragon Group (Stratstone). Porsche Chester are part of Rybrook Group. Porsche Solihull are part of Sytner and so on. So they may have some or no variation as part of the Group pricing policy.

Indys around this part of leafy Cheshire generally charge £75/hr + VAT = £90/hr. Some may be a tad less at £70/hr. Go across to West Yorkshire and a popular indy there is also £75/hr last time I asked.

I am sure that if you choose an appropriate location you can get an indy rate of £50/hr + VAT = £60 inc VAT.

I have steered away from opening the discussion to general mechanics and by 'indy' I refer to a business that brands itself as Porsche Independent Specialists.

Thanks looks like a good option for me when needed :thumb:

Free loan car as well but don't get too excited :floor:

I just paid £120 per hour OPC in the Midlands (Sutton Coldfield Porsche)

Sutton Coldfield are part of Stratstone (Pendragon Group).
Doesn't sound like your car qualified for the modern classics rate then?

You could ring Wilmslow or Bolton (both part of Pendragon) and ask the labour rate and if your car qualifies for modern classics rate. That way you will know if its a Pendragon Pricing policy or if there is flexibility between different centres within the same group to decide on what constitutes modern classics and the rate they will charge.

The 996 is priced at Modern Classics rate at Porsche Chester.
