That's a sharp looking car you bought, well done.

Good research also and it certainly does suggest that sensible mileage examples would appear to continue to rise in value or at least perceived value. Never one to bang on about value and appreciation, the cars are for driving and not keeping it nice for the next guy however when you see prices like this it does make one start to be selective about what mile's you are doing. I bought my car a few years ago so yes I have made gain even factoring in the cost to maintain, though little replaces it. They are very mileage sensitive though don't you think, anything that is over 70 or 80 and the values just drop away to the mid 30s. Nonsense really as a good proportion of the higher mileage efforts will have had major refreshes to suspension etc....Go figure

Its also interesting that as a buyer the modifications never discouraged you, perhaps buyers are now becoming generally more educated to the fact that the Mezger has the potential to be even greater when properly tuned and does not cause premature engine wear. A few years back when I bought mine the seller had issues selling his car as it had been mapped, he took a deep sigh of relief when I told him I was seeking a tuned car as that was what I was used to.

Anyway , enjoy

Thanks for the words. Truth be told, the chap never mentioned it was mapped, he claimed it was standard aside the pipe. A map would not have put me off though - I would do it myself it had not been done.

Very nice :thumb:

I'd be interested (as would others I'm assuming) as to what made the decision to stick with a 996T and not the revised 997T?

Personal preference I like the headlights more on the 986 996 models. There's more design involved than round / oval, dare I say boring return shape.

But I think the interior of the 997> is more appealing, to me anyway.

So it's always good to hear or read why other enthusiasts have the vision and trials to move up the ranks, to then have a self assurance what they had was actually still what they want. If that makes sense?

Similar to my love hate relationship with PDK. The times I have debated selling up and buying a 911 manual transmission.
