911 PSE Exhaust Hack aka the 'Gundo Hack'

What's the consensus on centre delete and gundo ?

Do both ? Or just one or the other ? :?:

Thx for any views !

Finally!

After a visit from Paul, my car sounds like it should.

A growling, chest-beating supercar!

More Ronnie Pickering than Ronnie Corbett!

I don't use phones or anything like that so I don't have any video/sound clips. But to be honest, the sound clips I've heard do not do justice to this great mod.

Money well spent and as others have commented, Paul is a really nice guy and very professional.

My 996.2 sounded great with a Gundo.

Paul is coming down to Brighton tomorrow to do my Gen2.
I'll upload a sound file or video so you can hear the difference when he's finished.

Paul has just turned up.

I'm like an expectant father. I can't wait lol.

3 hours and £270 later and it's done.
This is how they should sound from the factory.

I still have the centre box so it's not as loud as my old 996.2, but on the other hand it sounds more classy and less boy racer.

You really need some good speakers to appreciate the sound but here is it.

And now with the centre box replaced with an X-Pipe.

And now with the centre box replaced with a crossover pipe. Louder still.

This is what my 996.2 sounded like (same setup as a Gen1 997).

Surperb Les .
I've not had mine done yet but it's on the list for the spring.

Can anyone recommend someone in the north east that does this?

Try Revolution at Brighouse between Leeds and Halifax. Great reputation and if you have a look at their website, they have a dedicated area the exhaust mod.

Great thanks mate I'll check them out now. 8)

Edited post.
Had this done and after a week or so, im not convinced yet...
Definitely sounds better at idle and trundling about, but when I am just driving about it sounds a bit, dare I say it, farty?
Will give it a little longer see if it grows on me but I may end up just swapping beck to standard!

Can anybody tell me conclusively, does a 997 gen1 rear silencer, fit a gen2?

I'm looking at buying used back boxes for gundo on my gen2.

I have H&S bypass, will gen1 back boxes fit: a) the bypass b) the tailpipes c) the mounting brackets?

Thanks in advance...

James

different I believe

From what I remember they are different and not interchangeable.

Banana Hack pipe

Hi

I want to have the banana hack done to some spare rear boxes I have for gen2 car.

Anyone know what pipework i need to buy for the donor 'bananas'?

I did see a picture of a 2.5" 180 degree pipe but it did not have any other details.
